Dryer Vent Repair
Dryer Vent Repair & Installation Services
-
Addressing physical damage, improper materials, and disconnected joints before they lead to structural damage or property fires.
Disconnected or Loose Joints: Rejoining and sealing interior duct sections that have pulled apart inside walls, attics, or crawlspaces.
Crushed or Kinked Lines: Repairing collapsed transitional ducts and crushed metal venting located behind heavy appliances.
Exterior Vent Hood Damage: Replacing broken, warped, or missing wall hoods, louvers, and backdraft dampers damaged by weather or pests.
Pest & Animal Intrusion Damage: Clearing nest blockages and repairing ductwork punctured or compromised by birds, rodents, or insects.
-
Upgrading non-compliant, unsafe vent runs to meet current IRC (International Residential Code) and IMC safety standards.
Unapproved Material Replacement: Swapping out hazardous plastic accordion hoses, foil, or PVC piping for rigid or semi-rigid metal venting.
Screws & Fastener Correction: Removing sheet metal screws that penetrate duct walls (which snag lint) and re-securing joints with code-approved foil tape or clamps.
Termination Clearance Adjustments: Modifying exterior exhaust outlets to ensure proper clearance from openings, ground level, and HVAC intakes.
Wall Outlet & Box Recessing: Modifying connection points with recessed dryer boxes to save space and prevent future transition hose crushing.
-
Optimizing airflow and reducing total run length by re-pathing convoluted or excessively long vent lines.
Direct Route Optimization: Rerouting unnecessarily long or windy vent paths to shorten distance and minimize 90-degree elbows.
Attic & Crawlspace Re-suspension: Re-hanging sagged, unstrapped, or improperly pitched ductwork to ensure moisture drains outward without pooling.
Roof & Exterior Wall Rerouting: Changing termination locations from hazardous roof vents to accessible sidewall outlets where feasible.
Concealed Duct Access & Restoration: Opening minimal drywall access panels to reach and repair unstrapped or separated duct runs.
-
Servicing the critical connection point between your dryer appliance and the permanent exhaust system.
Heavy-Duty Semi-Rigid Hose Installs: Replacing cheap foil connectors with flame-resistant, semi-rigid aluminum transition ducts.
Pest-Proof Wall Cap Upgrades: Installing heavy-gauge metal or stainless steel wall caps fitted with pest guards that allow free lint passage.
Draft Stop & Damper Installs: Replacing failed backdraft dampers to keep cold outside air and insects from drafting back into the home.
Elbow & Connector Swaps: Installing smooth, tight-radius metal elbows to prevent kinks in tight laundry room quarters.
Note: Structural modifications or accessing hidden ductwork inside finished walls, ceilings, or soffits may require minor access cuts. Reconstruction, drywall patching, taping, or painting of access areas falls outside our repair scope and must be completed by a drywall or finishing contractor.
